Storefront Guide : Champs Sports

Holotype: Former storefront at Metcalf South Shopping Center, Overland Park, KS (left), Former storefront at Eastern Hills Mall, Clarence, NY (right)

Spotting Features: Wide storefront, with large display windows on either side of a central entrance, which is split down the middle with a square pillar. Rectangle running along the top dips down to give space for the logo above the entrance. All pillars and trim are a reflective, mirror-finish silver. Hexagonal CRT-mount on the ceiling is a unique, if rarely surviving, feature. (see 2nd photo)

Holotype: Operating storefront (now closed) at DeSoto Square Mall, Bradenton, FL

Spotting Features: Wide storefront, with large display windows on either side of a central entrance. Glass is seperated into 3 "panels" at the top; all pillars and lining are outlined with trim. Small angled awnings are set out from the 3 "panels" at the top. "CHAMPS SPORTS" logo engraved into entryway floor.

Holotype: Operating storefront at Merritt Square Mall, Merritt Island, FL

Spotting Features: Large flat display windows on either side, which then angle inwards at the entrance. Glass is seperated into thin and tall "panels". Entrance is framed by square pillars.

Similar Storefronts: Body Central (Variant 2); Note that Body Central has tiled columns whereas Champs has smooth columns.
